THE LOST LION CUB
One day two lions with their thirteen
cubs went in the savanna. The little lions were happy, they
played and they chased each other, while their parents were
basking in the sun.
After some time, the lioness called her cubs to return home and
she realized that Riki was missing.
Immediately after that they heard some shots and thought that the
cub had been killed by the men.
While the lion was asking all the animals if they had seen Riki,
he wandered through the savanna looking for the way back home.
He was attracted by a smell of soup and was tired, hungry and
unaware of the danger, he arrived to the camp of the men.
The lion meanwhile, after having gone around the whole forest, at
the end arrived, he too, to the men's camp.
He saw a child playing with his cub.
The kid had given Riki to eat, he had attended him and he loved
him so much.
The lion decided to sleep next to the curtain and to bring back
the cub home the day after, since it was growing dark.
The next day the hunter saw that his child had a cub of lion and
he loved him so much, he was touched and thought it was better
not to kill other animals because their cubs would have been left
alone.
The lion explained to the child that he had to give back Riki
because he was his child and his mammy and the brothers were
looking for him.
Father and son, crying, greeted Riki and the lion, with the
promise to meet again as soon as possible.
